Migrate

Move to Shopify without losing what matters

Catalog, customers, orders, content and SEO structure — planned so launch day is a cutover, not a scramble. The old store stays live until counts match.

Supported moves

From the platforms merchants actually leave

We migrate stores ElvoApps can support properly — not every platform on the internet.

WooCommerce → Shopify

Products, variations, customers, orders, WordPress pages and blog content. Redirects treated as a deliverable.

Catalog · Accounts · Orders · Blog

Magento → Shopify

Catalog complexity, attributes and customer history planned before the first import.

Attributes · Bundles · History

BigCommerce / Wix / Squarespace

Products, customers and storefront content mapped to Shopify primitives — then a storefront you can actually edit.

ProductsCustomersPages

Custom platform → Shopify

Exports, APIs or databases mapped into a Shopify-ready information model. Discovery decides what moves.

Scope

What a complete migration includes

Products and variants
Customers and accounts
Order history
Collections
Pages
Blog content
Images and media
Metadata
URLs & 301s

Not every store needs every object. Discovery decides the cutover set so you are not paying to move junk — or leaving behind records operations still need.

SEO migration

Search equity is a deliverable, not a hope

A Shopify migration that ignores URLs will teach Google to forget you. Redirects and metadata are part of the build.

We write down what you have

URL mapping starts here. Old paths matched to product, collection, page and blog URLs before launch.

A redirect table you can audit

Not a last-minute spreadsheet dumped into an app. 301s, metadata and canonicals carried across.

The old store keeps selling

Staging is unpublished. Production stays up until the numbers match.

Counts before DNS

Products, customers, images, sample orders. Launch is boring on purpose.

Then we watch the index

Sitemaps submitted, old ones retired, coverage and redirect errors checked after cutover.

Questions

Shopify migration FAQs

Not if URL mapping, 301 redirects, metadata and post-launch monitoring are part of the project. Rankings can still move while Google recrawls, which is why we treat SEO as a workstream rather than a checkbox.
Customer records can be migrated. Password migration depends on the source platform. We explain the customer experience (invite vs. reset) before cutover so support is not surprised.
Historical orders can be imported. Open orders, gift cards and store credit need a specific plan because Shopify handles them differently than WooCommerce or Magento.
If the current storefront is the bottleneck, we often design the Shopify theme in parallel with data mapping. If the catalog is the risk, data and redirects come first and the theme follows a stable catalog.
Yes. Most merchants start with a move, then keep us for releases, SEO and apps. Pick “Move my store to Shopify” on /start — mention ongoing help in the brief.
